I am a bit of a runner in my old age. Earlier this month I ran in the York marathon. At the end of it, we were offered non-alcoholic beer, water and sugary drinks, along with a variety of very sweet and sickly chocolate bars. I went back to our hotel, and all I wanted was ice cold
milk! So that is what I ordered from the bar.
It is, I am told, the ideal post-sports drink. Why is this message not heard loudly by all those involved in all sports, at all levels? Why do we not see more of the funds collected from you to aid promotion and addressing market failure not used to promote the use of milk after sporting activities? Anyone remember the Milk Race?
