We’d like to welcome Dan Wood to the Farm Consultancy Group, based out of the WhiteAvon office in Chippenham as a Rural Compliance Consultant.  Dan will be supporting clients with all elements of compliance, from Health & Safety to Cross Compliance and Farm Assurance. 

Dan’s from a farming background being brought up on his parent’s farm in South Devon, growing potatoes and arable crops. After graduating from the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, he joined Exeter and Newton Abbot Livestock markets. 

Following on, Dan then spent 7 years working for Farmplan software as regional account manager providing compliance software to farmers, estates and rural businesses and supporting them to get the best return from investment.  Most recently Dan’s been working for the local John Deere dealer as the precision farming and data specialist supporting farmers retrieving operation data from their in-cab technology.

Dan was attracted to the role at FCG as he knew he would be working for a group of respected consultants and would be using his knowledge of practical farming alongside compliance reporting and data to support clients make Health and Safety and compliance an easier task.

When Dan isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, he has two boys aged 7 and 4. At weekends Dan will be found either cooking or watching rugby (Exeter chiefs or England) or during the shooting season at his family farm shoot.
