FCG’s Charles Holt set to run the York marathon this weekend

Having ran several marathons in the past, FCG’s Charles Holt has challenged himself by taking part in the York marathon this weekend, 17th October.

Charles is a seasoned runner regularly getting out 2-3 times a week for fitness and to strike a good work/life balance.

He’s raising money for the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN), a pastoral charity and practical support charity helping Lincolnshire’s farmers and rural people facing periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to their families and businesses. They offer a listening ear, a free and confidential service, home and farm visits, advice points and health screening clinics.

LRSN is a charity that is close to Charles, one for which he volunteers regularly, holding the post as charity treasurer. And so Charles recognises the great work the charity undertakes in providing much-needed practical and mental health support to the farming community across Lincolnshire.

Whilst Charles hasn’t set a fundraising target, all donations are gratefully received and can be made by clicking on the JustGiving link: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/RunCharlesRun

On Saturday night, Charles will be tucking into some pasta at his favourite York Italian Toto’s and will treat himself to a small beer too.

Please give Charles some encouragement and donate if you can
