The Farming Investment Fund is open for applications
As Direct Payments gradually phase out, new schemes and initiatives will launch to assist the agricultural transition in an environmentally sustainable way.
Today, The Farming Investment Fund has become live with new grants available for small investments through The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund, and also for larger investments through The Farming Transformation Fund.
The funding is available to all farmers, agricultural contractors or forestry contractors involved in the production or processing of agricultural, horticultural or forestry products, who are based in England.
The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund
The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund will provide smaller grants to improve overall business performance. The grant will allow businesses in the agricultural sector to buy items from a set list of equipment, technology and small infrastructure investments.
Payment rates are based on the current Countryside Productivity Small Grant scheme. If an application is successful, the applicant will be reimbursed once the item(s) have been purchased. You can apply for up to £25,000 of grant funding, for:
• Slurry separators
• Rainwater harvesting tanks
• Dribble bars
• Shallow Injections systems
• Trailing shoes
• Umbilical hose reelers
• Robotic slurry pushers
• Forestry equipment
