Steph Emmerson (FCG WhiteAvon)

I am delighted to confirm that the very successful Farming In Protected Landscape (FIPL) Scheme is continuing for another year.

If you are a farmer or landowner in any of the England protected landscapes (Cotswolds, North Wessex Downs etc.) then there are grants to support projects that help nature recover, reduce climate change, protect and enhance cultural heritage and improve access to and enjoyment of our beautiful landscape.

You may be thinking what sort of project would be eligible, so to give you an idea of previous successful projects, I have detailed these below:

  • Projects that focus on the development and implementation of regenerative farming:
    • Polycrop Drill
    • Direct sales of regen flour and meat
    • Educational hubs on regen demo farms
    • Installation of Mob Grazing infrastructure
  • Projects that focus on local food:
    • Fruit Farm plantation
    • Farm Shops
    • Milk Vending Machines
  • Projects that support landscape recovery:
    • Restoration of habitats
    • Wetlands projects
    • Wildflower grasslands
  • Projects that provide access, education and inclusion:
    • Education access for schools and groups
    • Accessible trails
    • Shelters and Classrooms on farms.

If you do farm in a protected landscape area and have a potential project in mind, then please do get in contact and we can discuss the application process.  Please contact Steph at  stephemmerson@fcgagric.com or your local FCG Office.
