Ellice Hahne (FCG Midwest)

Big Chalk is launching a nature recovery fund to back capital projects that help restore and reconnect the chalk and limestone landscapes of southern England.

This is a capital grants fund supporting the creation of infrastructure or the purchase of equipment to establish habitats that will deliver lasting benefits for biodiversity, such as linking or improving habitats, wildlife corridors, or restoring waterways.

Examples of projects that the fund will support include creation of hedgerows, grassland restoration, orchard establishment, conservation grazing infrastructure, specialist equipment, habitat creations, and more.

The grant is available for projects costing £1,000 to (exceptionally) £75,000.  Farmers, farmer groups, community groups and any other organisation working to deliver nature recovery in the Big Chalk area can apply.

Applications are open now and projects must be completed by 31st of March 2026.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
