William Waterfield (Andover)
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch of the Society of Agriculture at the House of Lords last month. The society is the result of the merger of the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM) and the British Institute of Agricultural Consultancy (BIAC).
At a time when agriculture is operating in an increasingly complex and demanding environment regulatory, financially, and from the impact of climate change, the society aims to lead by strengthening professional standards, supporting better decision-making, and building long-term leadership capacity.
Coming soon, the society will be opening applications for the Agricultural Leadership Development Programme 2027 which is designed to develop a cohort of professionally credible, strategically capable leaders – individuals equipped to operate across business, policy and the wider sector.
