Applications for the Countryside Stewardship Capital Grants Scheme opened on 30 July 2026, and the scheme has generated considerable interest among our teams at FCG WhiteAvon and FCG Midwest.

To date, we have submitted in excess of 200 applications with a combined value of over £4.3 million, giving an average claim value of approximately £21,590 per application.

While the funding does not cover 100% of the cost of the work being undertaken, it can provide significant financial support to farming and rural businesses looking to invest in a range of projects.

For anyone who is still considering applying, the application window remains open, although we understand that it is expected to close shortly.

There are a number of supporting documents and pieces of evidence required when submitting an application, so with limited time remaining, we would encourage anyone interested in applying to begin preparing their application as soon as possible.
