Option VED1 – Educational Access Visits is popular with farms that want to offer free educational visits to schools, children, adult charities, and others. It pays £363 per visit, up to a maximum of 25 visits per year.

But did you know that you may need an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check? Under new regulation introduced in September 2026, you may need an Enhanced DBS check if you host groups of children on more than 3 days in a 30-day period.
