Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2025: Supporting Innovation in English Agriculture

back to News

The UK Government has launched the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2025, providing targeted support to help farmers, horticulturists, and foresters across England invest in modern, efficient, and sustainable equipment.

Funding Opportunities

Under the scheme, eligible businesses can apply for grants ranging from £1,000 to £25,000, depending on the item and sector. The fund is divided into three key themes:

  • Productivity – supporting technology that enhances farm performance and resource efficiency
  • Slurry Management – encouraging more sustainable slurry handling and storage systems
  • Animal Health and Welfare – promoting practices that improve livestock wellbeing and biosecurity

Application Timeline

Applications open on 29 May 2025 and must be submitted by 12:00 noon on 10 July 2025. Businesses may apply under multiple themes and can still be eligible even if they have previously received grants through earlier rounds of FETF or similar programmes.

Who Can Apply

The scheme is open to farmers, horticultural businesses, forestry operators, and their contractors based in England. All equipment funded through the scheme must be used in England to remain eligible.

Driving Agricultural Modernisation

The FETF 2025 is part of the government’s wider commitment to supporting the agricultural transition and improving environmental and economic resilience in rural industries. By investing in advanced equipment, you can reduce input costs, improve animal welfare, and align with sustainability goals.
