The EU Commission have announced that this scheme will come into effect from the 1st October and will pay approximately 12 ppl for a 50% of the reductions in milk supplied between 2015 and 2016 subject to a number of considerations.

Applications forms likely to be available from 11th September 2016. There are likely to be other application windows for later periods.
Forms need to be returned by 21st September 2016.

Producers can select one of four periods over which the production will be reduced:

1st Oct 2016 – 31st Dec 2016
1st Nov 2016 – 31st Jan 2017
1st Dec 2016 – 28th Feb 2017
1st Jan 2017 – 31st March 2017

Applicants must still be in milk production.
A minimum reduction of 3000 kg is needed over the three month period.
Proof of last years production (Milk Cheque) and an estimate of this years production will be needed.
This is a first come first served scheme so it will be important to apply as early as possible.
